Worked alright I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and when she was a puppy it was hard to find a toy she couldn't sink her puppy teeth into and rip apart within a matter of minutes. Being familiar with the various brands of toys and having to find something for her to chew on that wasn't my fingers I went in search of a Kong. I figured that special teething rubber formula meant it would stand up to my little pup and her crazy teeth. Well she managed to pull a small piece off of it at one end and chewed so hard that the rubber started to kind of give in the joints I guess that's what you could call them the nonbulbous parts?. While it never shredded and she never pulled more than one piece of it apart and I'd have to say it held up fairly well I still wasn't impressed. Most other Kong toys I've purchased since have held up significantly better than this one did and she's only 1.5 yrs old. I'd skip the puppy toy and go straight to the black Kong toys if you've got a crazy chewer with some peanut butter stuck inside of course as they seem to hold up better even with puppy teeth and are worth the little extra $$.
dog loves it Golden retriever puppy loves chewing this much better than the adult versions. Trying to save the furniture shoes and plants.
Puppy love! My puppy loves her Kong. I've been stuffing it with treats and giving it to her before I leave for work. It's hole is small but she doesn't seem to have much trouble getting the treats out.Bonus is that the cats play with it too. I found it clear on the other side of the house where the puppy cannot get to so one of my four kitties must've had a blast knocking it around.I will probably end up buying another so I can rotate their use as I feel so bad taking it from puppy to freeze it overnight.
the small classic is the same as the puppy kong but with a different color I bought the puppy kong to my new puppy we lost it after couple of days then I bought the small classic kong. To my surprise they looked exactly like the same but for the color. The puppy kongs come in light blue and pink the small classic comes in dark pink and it is two dollars cheaper. Not much since these toys are pretty cheap but if your puppy is like mine and keeps loosing her toys then price might matter.
This is one of her favorite toys! This Kong Small Puppy Toy with her treats stuffed inside is a winner with our pup. She plays with it quite a long time before she moves on to her next toy. These Kong treat toys are a soft rubber and may not be for some larger pups that are real chewers. In fact the package instructions are not to give to pets older than 9 months. I like the Kong dog toys and think their quality is good and why I have purchased them for two other dogs.
small kong toy Nothing wrong with the product itself however my puppy just wasn't interested in it. I filled it with all different kinds of treat and only amused him for a small amount of time whether or not he got the treat out or not. He is a Lab/Border Collie and seems to lose interest quickly it if can't be ripped apart and destroyed easliy. Still searching for that perfect toy for down time .
My lab pup loves it My 4 month lab puppy loves this! I have been filling with dry food and sealing the end with peanut butter. If I have time I'll throw it in the freezer to make him work at the peanut butter more. Overall it is a great product and it keeps him busy for 20 minute blocks of time.
Thankyou!
Does the job! I recently bought this toy for my maltipoo pup. I give it a 4 star rating because it does the job in keeping her busy and occupied. It's durable and seems to help with her teething. However I don't think it does anything spectacular in comparison to other toys. This may be because she is a puppy and would enjoy playing with anything. Like many other reviewers I too put peanut butter in the toy and the peanut butter is in itself a treat for her. If she licks the peanut butter and is satisfied her desire to get the treat isn't of utmost concern to her anymore.
puppy kong This product is great.Very sturdy will last a long time.
