Best ball ever. I got this for my GSD and pit bull. Both destroy tennis balls fast. This ball is awesome it's been 6 months it still looks new. I love how the treats move around in the ball and fall out. I shove a whole small milk bone treat in there. My pup chews on it till the treat breaks up and falls out then she eats the treats. It keeps her happy for a long time. I love this ball for at night when my pup wants to play but I am busy or tired. This ball is awesome.I think this is a pct ball no problems at all but the price is a little high. Only problem now is my dog took it outside and we got snow so I don't know where it is at the moment. If I can't find it I am getting another it's worth the price for me.
Not a good treat ball This toy is awful. You put the treats in they come right back out the other end. Unless you use larger sized treats. I wasn't impressed with it. There are better treat balls out there that won't dispense the treats as easily as this.Not sure of durability. If it doesn't sqeek or not filled with food my dog has no interest in it.
Excellent and Longlasting! Toy for pitbull Our pittie can chew through a toy in seconds flat but this one has been with us for months! I sincerely doubted it would last an hour after I felt the material but surprisingly he doesn't chew it apart. It keeps him entertained and happy even after all the kibble is gone.
Great while it lasted I have an 80 lb husky/lab mix who is quite a power chewer plus he has separation anxiety. He doesn't like hard toys like Nylabone and he has no interest in the $20 Kong that is appropriate for his size/strength. Played with it for a few days and then never looked at it again.This ball was fantastic we were able to stuff it with treats and leave him without him running to the door whining but about a month in he has been able to start tearing at the treat holes. We had put a squeaker in it from a squeaky toy and I think that just sent him in overdrive to get it out It seemed like the perfect indestructible squeaker toy. I just took the squeakers out and I'm hoping we can get some more life out of it now that he won't be trying to get those out. We'll see. Overall it lasted much longer than any other toy that he has shown interest in.
Great for soft treats and peanut butter I got the medium size one for my beagle mix and she loves it. When I first started using it I would put in soft treats and she would lick it out of the ball and was great because it would take her about 510 mins to go through it but then she figured out that by chewing the ball the treats would break into pieces and will fall out so now it takes her seconds to get it all out. I do use this ball for peanut butter and I occasionally put soft treats in it. This ball is well made she's chewed on it for almost a year now and it has not broken yet I can see small tears around the holes but nothing serious.
Big Puppy Love Our 8 month old Golden loves playing and getting treats from this ball. Suggested by his trainer to calm his hyperactive age.
Nothing everlasting about it I have an English Pointer who is very tough on chew toys. She was able to tear a hole in the side of this ball within about 20 minutes of seeing it for the first time. While perhaps a good toy for even an average chewer this was far less durable than everlasting may suggest.
Great option as an easier treat ball We have a four month old small breed puppy and have been slowly equipping ourselves with various toys treats etc. We wanted something in which we could give him either some treats or some of his puppy food and started first with the classic Kong toy. It wasn't successful. He might lick some stuff out of it but would get frustrated after a few minutes so it only occupied him for 510 minutes. We tried a few other treat balls but they were also too frustrating for him. This one is great. It has an opening on each side so it's easy for the treats to come out. In fact this has become our primary way of feeding him. It seems to provide him some entertainment it's not too hard and yet it helps to make him work just a bit for the food and to slow down its consumption.In terms of sizing our puppy is only about six pounds but the medium size is perfect for him.
Best purchase I've made! My dog can destroy ANYTHING!!! Except this ball! He loves chewing on it to his heart's desire and it hasn't punctured ripped or even gotten a mark on it. Although it is hard to get treats into/out of so he spends most of his time trying to get them out which isn't necessarily a bad thing he doesn't usually get rewarded for his efforts and sometimes gets bored.

Its ok Its ok for a chew toy but my puppy doesn't really seem all too into it and she loves chewing on new toys. I think its because it has a really weird unpleasant rubber smell. She's usually not bothered by too much but doesn't seem to want to keep chewing on this. I'll see if it gets better w/ time.

Dog loves it but. My lab/golden mix loved this bonemaybe too much. I wouldn't buy this if your dog might be a power chewer. My dog used to love the Nylabone Galileo but I stopped giving those to him after hearing claims they could cause tooth damage. I thought the flexi chew would be a good alternative. I only allowed my dog to have the bone for about an hour at a time three days in a row. He loved it & by the third night was begging for it. Unfortunately it was very easy for him to break pieces off the bone. I thought I was gathering up the pieces before he could swallow them but he got up two nights & vomited more pieces of the bone up.
Soft but not too soft D My boxer has a soft mouth and likes a little give in her chewing. Some of the power chewer bones my Rottie chews up.. are too hard for her. This is perfect for her. No mess either. Stays together and does not get sharp after chewed. No smell like regular real bones either.
Great for puppy not for strong chewers I got this for my teeting German Shepherd puppy and it's great for that. She's not a super strong chewer yet. But I have to be careful that my adult Shepherd doesn't get a hold of it because she is a much stronger chewer and can tear chunks of this loose.Then the puppy comes along and eats those chunks and then she throws up.So to review good for puppies/dogs who are not strong chewers. BAD for strong chewers. Swallowing small bits of this = no big deal. Swallowing big chuck of this = messy clean up or potential other health problems.
Nylabone Flexi chew bone Wolf original flavor my dog likes it. My 10 month old 80 lbs puppy Border Collie and Labrador Retriever likes this wolf sized Nylabone Flexi chew bone with the original flavor. He eagerly went to it when I gave it to him an he has worked on it day and night. He has cow hooves as well which he likes.
Great for all age dogs Just got this for my 10 year old foster dog. He went to town chewing away last night. He just loved it.
Kobi loves it! This is a small bone but we've had it for months now. Kobi isn't an aggressive chewer so it has lasted this long. No problems with big pieces being chewed off of it BUT I wouldn't recommend it for an aggressive chewer as I could see how unsupervised a big piece might come off.
Flexi Chew by Nylabone Been giving this bone to my dogs for years. Gave a flexi chew to my coworker as a gift for his young dog who was chewing up his furniture. It kept his dog busy no more destroyed pillows or furniture. Now several of my coworkers have purchased for their dogs. Great product does not chip dog's teeth no messy residue left on carpet.

Just okay I was a little wary with this product before purchasing. But after it arrived my puppies didn't really take to it and after reading the instructions that said to monitor when in use so that the dog doesn't ingest more than a grain of rice size fo the productI felt better about going with bully sticks.
Potentially dangerous The instructions manual says that pieces no bigger than a grain of rice should break off. However I just watched my dog chew off a piece about the size of a nickel and another one the size of a dime. I'm glad he didn't have enough time to try to eat it. This product is going in the trash.

Treat dispenser I bought this for my puppy's first birthday after seeing it in Pet Tails magazine. It did have the bacon smell as advertised and it was great for keeping her busy eating the treats that can be hidden inside. Once the treats were gone she started chewing on it and while the pig part is pretty strong she shredded the rope within minutes.
Lab's will love this I bought this for my son's Labrador Retriever. I bought the large one. I suggest getting large treats because it took a lot of treats to fill it. He had to use some patience but in the end he had a great time chewing on it and figured how to roll it to have the treats come out. Seems pretty indestructible.

Good for teething puppes At first my puppy didn't pay attention to this bone but as he got a little older it became his favorite. He has chewed it up pretty good but it is still intact. It's the next best thing to giving him a real raw meaty bone.
Not Strong Enough My 10 week old puppy was absolutely crazy about it but despite having no adult teeth he destroyed it in no time flat. The Dura Chews are too hard and not as interesting to him.
Great for small adult dogs I have a 4 year old chihuahua that loves these treats to death. It's the only product that he loves to chew out probably because of the bacon flavoring. The only downside to this product is it can be slightly messy as the chunks fall off and get left on the ground.
My Rottie is 1 1/2 years old 5/2011 He loves the puppy nylabone and can chew it down to about a 2 1/2 inch diameter piece. He can chew it when it's small by keeping it in his mouth holding his head up and throwing in around in his mouth. He's amazing. He spits out the pieces as he chews them off. You can just see it in his face how much satisfaction he gets that these bones have some give to them. Perfect exercising for his jaw. Now that he's had a few of these over time he doesn't go through one in one sitting. He'll come back to it every one or two days.I'd bought a long lasting nylabone when he was younger but he's only chewed on that when I first got it.
chew pleaser This is the only style of Nyla bone that my 3 month old puppy will chew. She loves the texture/taste. Admittedly this particular style lasts less long than the traditional style but it's worth it to save my furniture! We first tried the regular size but the super size seems to be lasting proportionally longer and keeps her attention just as well.

Probably nice product but misleading description It's a teething bone for pups sure.I would have liked an accurate description in the product's title. I was hoping for something that didn't have flavor as the product states regular. I guess chicken must be the new regular.If you click on the zoom feature for the product image it reveals that the bone is chickenlower right corner. Quite often product images provided are inaccurate. In my experience it's better to refer to the product description's text more than the image. Not the case this time.I'm not able to comment further on this product as I have no intention of putting them to use.
Puppies with Baby Teeth Only I brought my pup a Puppy Nylabone when we first got him. It was a great alternative because he was learning to bite the furniture. The Puppy Nylabone actually smells like a flavor while the Dura Nylabone doesn't.Once my pup started to lose his baby teeth I still gave the Puppy Nylabone to him because his gum hurts a lot during this process. So it's nice to have something he can gnaw on for this time period. Once his adult teeth started showing up about over 50% I immediately had to take this Puppy Nylabone away from him because he was starting to bite bigger junks off. We switch to the Dura Nylabone which took him a while to adjust because it didn't smell like anything even though the package stated that it's bacon flavor.Overall I think this product is great for Puppies' chewing needs!I actually like this better than their Dura products.
The puppy LOVES it I have 3 dogs with varying chew needs ranging from needingtochewalltime to willchewonlywheninterested. These bones makes all 3 happy. Because of its soft texture it does get chewed down fairly quickly. However the harder density bones ones that you can't make an identation upon with your fingernail are notorious for cracking teeth! according to our veterinary dentist I'd rather buy a few more 2 dollar bones than pay for a $1000 tooth extraction.

Not for extreme chewers The description of this toy was a bit misleading it's listed as a large toy but it's actually quite small. My 56lb Great Pyrenees mix had it completely ripped apart in less than one hour. I would definitely not recommend this for dogs that are heavy chewers or for any larger size dog.
Favorite Toy Great for large breed dogs. Withs squeakers and a grunter it provides hours of entertainment. May not be suitable for overzealous shredders. This one lasted nearly 3 months which is very good around here two German Shepherds.
Reasonable Product Excellent Customer Service Our very playful Golden Retriever loved the sound the hedgehog made. She ended up breaking the squeaker within 10 minutes of receiving the toy. We contacted Kyjen customer service and they promptly sent us a new Home the Hedgehog. This one is holding up much better.
Not as sturdy as other Kyjen toys We buy Kyjen toys almost exclusively because they last longer and are much better made than most other dog toys. We have a small dog and although he does like to chew on his toys he is not a crazy chew machine and Kyjen toys normally last at least three months before he is able to destuff them. We purchased Homer to replace another Kyjen hedgehog that we had purchased at PetCo the previous one was two shades of gray and not as brown as Homer and also had no grunter. The other hedgehog lasted a super long time. Our dog ripped Homer open at a weak seam within 10 minutes and pulled out the grunter and the rattle. We stitched him back together and expect him to last a little longer but we were VERY disappointed in the quality of this particular Kyjen product.Maybe we just got a lemon but we will be much more likely to purchase Kyjen toys in the store instead of on Amazon so that we can check the seams first.
Premature death of a hedgehog Got the hedgehog today. It was a junior size for my male shi poo. Within hours the nose was broken and stuffing was coming out. This thing was supposed to be practically indestructible. Very very disappointed.
Hedgehog Its 2 or 3 weeks old and its not ripped up yet dog toys that only last a day not sure what the people that make them are thinking from now on I'm going to buy the same toys that last like this hedgehog.
Not for Super Chewers I've had trouble finding a toy that will hold up to my dog's chewing. My sister told me that this was the greatest toy ever. Her dog carries it around with him and he's been chewing on it for months.I couldn't wait to get it in the mail. It was so cute when I took it out of the box that I took a photo of it. I gave it to Thor 100 lbs 17 months old and within 10 minutes one foot was ripped off. Five minutes later a leg was off. Within an hour and a half he had destroyed it and was walking around honking the grunter that was in the body of the poor hedgehog. It took him another 10 minutes to kill that.Less than two hours to achieve complete destruction. Bummer.
Could Be Great With One Modification My German Shepherd was having the time of his life with this toy until after about 30 minutes he decided to chew off one of the legs. Although I was closely supervising him he had it off in just a few seconds. If I had realized the legs didn't have stitching where they attached I would have sewn them shut next to the body then cut them off.
My girls LOVE this toy My greyhounds have always loved Hedgehog! This is their 3rd one still have the others since they are quite tough. I will take an armload of stuffies and scatter them in the living room and the girls will go and get every one and return them to the bedroom.
30 Minutes 30 Minutes is all it took for my dog to rip this thing open. It's a cute toy that makes multiple noises and you can tell that was particularly incensing to the dog and made him love to chew on it even more. But seriously 30 minutes is all it took before I had to throw the thing out.
