Not Strong Enough My 10 week old puppy was absolutely crazy about it but despite having no adult teeth he destroyed it in no time flat. The Dura Chews are too hard and not as interesting to him.
Great for small adult dogs I have a 4 year old chihuahua that loves these treats to death. It's the only product that he loves to chew out probably because of the bacon flavoring. The only downside to this product is it can be slightly messy as the chunks fall off and get left on the ground.
My Rottie is 1 1/2 years old 5/2011 He loves the puppy nylabone and can chew it down to about a 2 1/2 inch diameter piece. He can chew it when it's small by keeping it in his mouth holding his head up and throwing in around in his mouth. He's amazing. He spits out the pieces as he chews them off. You can just see it in his face how much satisfaction he gets that these bones have some give to them. Perfect exercising for his jaw. Now that he's had a few of these over time he doesn't go through one in one sitting. He'll come back to it every one or two days.I'd bought a long lasting nylabone when he was younger but he's only chewed on that when I first got it.
chew pleaser This is the only style of Nyla bone that my 3 month old puppy will chew. She loves the texture/taste. Admittedly this particular style lasts less long than the traditional style but it's worth it to save my furniture! We first tried the regular size but the super size seems to be lasting proportionally longer and keeps her attention just as well.
Chew toy I got this for my puppy and he tore it up in 1 houre.it's soft rubber. he war about to eat it.
Probably nice product but misleading description It's a teething bone for pups sure.I would have liked an accurate description in the product's title. I was hoping for something that didn't have flavor as the product states regular. I guess chicken must be the new regular.If you click on the zoom feature for the product image it reveals that the bone is chickenlower right corner. Quite often product images provided are inaccurate. In my experience it's better to refer to the product description's text more than the image. Not the case this time.I'm not able to comment further on this product as I have no intention of putting them to use.
Puppies with Baby Teeth Only I brought my pup a Puppy Nylabone when we first got him. It was a great alternative because he was learning to bite the furniture. The Puppy Nylabone actually smells like a flavor while the Dura Nylabone doesn't.Once my pup started to lose his baby teeth I still gave the Puppy Nylabone to him because his gum hurts a lot during this process. So it's nice to have something he can gnaw on for this time period. Once his adult teeth started showing up about over 50% I immediately had to take this Puppy Nylabone away from him because he was starting to bite bigger junks off. We switch to the Dura Nylabone which took him a while to adjust because it didn't smell like anything even though the package stated that it's bacon flavor.Overall I think this product is great for Puppies' chewing needs!I actually like this better than their Dura products.
The puppy LOVES it I have 3 dogs with varying chew needs ranging from needingtochewalltime to willchewonlywheninterested. These bones makes all 3 happy. Because of its soft texture it does get chewed down fairly quickly. However the harder density bones ones that you can't make an identation upon with your fingernail are notorious for cracking teeth! according to our veterinary dentist I'd rather buy a few more 2 dollar bones than pay for a $1000 tooth extraction.
