Expensive but woth it I have 2 German Shepherds and both have very sensitive stomachs. We used to deal with diarrhea frequently. Once we switched to Royal Canin everything got better. Also the pieces are pretty big so unlike other food the dogs can't just swallow these without properly chewing first. I highly recommend this food to all the German Shepherd owners.

Excellent product I like Royal Canin very much. The design makes my German Shepherd puppy chew his food and not gulp it like he did with his old food. I like the smell of it. It does not give him the doggy breath. His teeth seem to stay more clean. His coat has retained its shine. The ingredients are perfect meats first!.However it is about $20 cheaper if you can find a retailer near you that you can buy it from. Your veterinarian might know of someone. My vet uses Royal Canin for her dogs so I am going to buy it from her from now on.Great product! Too pricey on Amazon though.
Pricey but worth it This is the only food we have fed our 1 year old female German Shepherd after the breeder recommended it. She loves it. She has lots of energy and no skin or digestive issues at all. Her coat is beautiful and shiny. We followed the feeding recommendations on the bag. She has grown to her full size and is not at all overweight like some other dogs we know that are fed the grocery store brands. Many people have commented on what a beautiful dog she is. I attribute this to the well balanced diet of Royal Canin.
One happy pup. We got our German Shepherd x Border Collie 2 weeks ago and had started her on Taste of the Wild High planes but she had troubles chewing it because it was so hard. We tried moistening it and/or adding canned food to it which made her somewhat more interested however she was gulping more than chewing and made it hard for her to digest. She often had loose stools because of it. Now she is on this and she loves her food. She even loves it so much that we incorporate part of her daily serving with her training treats.
Yummy yummy. Our dog Cartman really loves this stuff. He used to be on Canidae all life stages. He had tummy issues and regularly had bad diarrhea. It broke our hearts he looked miserable on his old food. He didn't even like to eat it. We'd have to coax him to eat some and there was always a significant amount left in the bowl.From the moment we opened the package he seemed really into it. He eats all of his food and even likes the occasional nugget or two as a treat. He leaves his bowl empty and yeswonderful solid poops after so much diarrhea they certainly were pretty wonderful.It is pricey though. The Canidae was significantly less. When he gets out of the puppy stage we'll probably move him to Costco's Kirkland brand dog foodwhich is even higherrated at Dog Food Advisor.
what a price I just got a German Shepard 5 weeks ago. The breeder also fed the 14 dogs this food. I thought it was the best food the dog. I went to the local pet smart store. There price was $58.00 a bag. I went on Amazon and the pricew was $56.00 delivered to my front door.
Love it. My 10 month old German Shepherd was having problems digesting her old food another one of those all natural no artificial ingredients etc types. She'd eat it but her stools would be loose and she'd have occasional bouts of diarrhea. Finally she stopped eating her food altogether. A Very Happy Healthy Puppy Ever since I switched my puppy from Wolf Cub she never hesitates to eat when chow time comes. She is quick to eat her breakfast and dinner where before she would barely touch her food. She has no problem with digestion and absorption of her food and her stools are evidence of that. Her coat is very shiny and she has filled out and put on lots of muscle. I will certainly move her to the adult blend when the time comes.
