Makes My Small Dog Happy My Shihtzu loves this ball. Although the ball is about as big as his head he can pick it up easily. He will push the ball all around the house until his treats are dispensed.
Worthless for dogs over 40 lbs My lab chewed it apart the first time he played with it.
Love this! My dog gobbles his food up then sits and stares at us during meal times. Now he knocks this around the house for 10 minutes while we eat! Took him a day to figure out what to do with it but now he does great. He chewed one little hole in it the first night but hasn't damaged it any more since.
Best Treat Ball EVER This is my dog's favorite toy! It even smells goodkind of like a cinnamon roll. Make sure you get the large one. Whether your dog is large or small he'll have no trouble picking it up due to the craters and the large size keeps it from getting stuck under furniture.I just put a few kibbles in it at a time. The large one however will hold an entire meal which is especially useful for getting picky eaters to eat or slowing down dogs who eat too fast. If you use kibbles that are too small they come out pretty quickly as the dog rolls the ball. Too large and they won't come out at all. I like to add one larger one anyway. It keeps my dog going back to the toy over and over to try to get that last piece out. That keeps him occupied much longer.One cautiona strong chewer could destroy this ball since it's made out of soft plastic. I recommend watching your dog with it to make sure he's more interested in pushing it than chewing on it. You might also want to use a few really small kibbles in the beginning to help him get the right idea.
He Loves It! I bought the large size for my then 2 month old lab/aussie mix. He's now 10 months old and plays with it daily. When I first gave him the treat ball I filled it full of his own kibble rather than anything special. We had daily play sessions with the ball where I'd roll it for him and he'd collect what fell out. Within a couple days he took over rolling the ball and even figured out that he could toss it for more payout. When he was easily emptying the ball I started adding special treats in with the kibble as well as larger pieces of treats that would partially block the hole and not come out unless they lined up just right. This gave him more of a challenge and kept him working at getting to the contents of the ball. Since I really don't like the idea of filling the ball with treats I've started purchasing small bags of dog food in the same brand I normally get
Tricky Ball of FUN! I was doing some photography work for a friend of mine who is a professional dog trainer. She was demonstrating the Tricky Treat Ball to her class of furry kids and their owners. Oh my gosh I have three dogs and bought them immediately! This ball gives your dog a mental work out that is fun to watch and really makes your dog work for his treat. Mental exercise is almost as important as physical exercise for dogs.I have a ten year old English Labrador who is at the age where he really doesn't play a whole bunch he likes to pretend he is on a desert island and be served one meal a day that starts at 700 in the morning and ends around 1100 in the evening. The minute I introduced him to the Omega Paw Tricky Ball he was off and running going everywhere in my house pushing the ball with his nose pawing at it trying to get to the treats!It was amazing to say the least! I would recommend this ball to anybody who owns a dog. It comes in different sizes to accommodate different size pups.
Must if you have a dog I have a beagle mix and she gets bored easily with toys. I got this hoping that it would keep her busy and entertained for more than a minute or two. I wasn't sure if she would like it because she is not very big on her food we have it out for her all the time and she never over eats and she is not big on ball toys either. I chose this ball because it's made of rubber so it's not noisy and there's no risk of it breaking into small sharp pieces like I've seen in the reviews of some other treat balls made with the hard plastic. My dog is about 25 lbs and I got the large one it was perfect and I like that it doesn't get stuck under the furniture. It's also big enough that my dog will not try to bite on it. We got an everlasting fun ball in size small and she figured out that if she bites the ball the treats will break into pieces and it will all fall out it takes her 2 seconds to get the treat out of that ball. I started with half of cup of food and she started rolling it and she loved it she played with it for several minutes before she ran out of food. Some people complained that the food falls out too easy I found that the more food you put in the easier it comes out. My dog is not a chewer so it worked out great for her I think this could be a great toy for chewing prone dogs too as long as you keep an eye on them while they are using it.
Only toy my dog plays with! This is the only toy my dog has played with since he was a puppy. My 16 year old American Eskimo has never played with toys but loves his treats.. I bought this after reading an article about aging people using games to stimulate their brains and thought if it works for people maybe it will work for my dog too. He didn't play with it for a week but once he figured out he gets treats he figured it out and loves it! I am so excited I am looking for more toys for his brain D The only hard part is finding treats that fit it without all being too small or too big but you can always break them up a little.
Fun food toy My small dog LOVES this toy. She even plays with it when there is no food inside. She figured out how to get the food out rather quickly but I think it is still fun for her to roll it around and nibble every once in a while. She is also a tad bit heavy and has lots of energy so I think this is a great way to get her to eat. I found it to be better than the wobble food dispenser because it requires a bit more energy to get the food out which allows her to spend more time running around.
Great Toy! My dog loves this toy! I used to use the Cube Dice toy that was similar but it was so hard and loud when my dog rolled it around. This toy is much nicer to the walls and the floors in my house. I put his daily kibble in here and he loves rolling the ball around to eat.
