My Yorkie Loves This Toy!!!!! Our dog breeder recommended nylabone toys for our yorkie Jackson. However Jackson didn't seem to take to the boneshaped nylabone. Once we gave him this fish it quickly became his favorite toy.
Good toy but read the package information This is a good toy. As I said in my review for the mediumsized fish it lasts longer than the puppy Nylabones for my puppy at least and my puppy can't easily chew pieces off of it like she can with the bones. However please be sure to read the package information. It says that this toy should be big enough to encourage your puppy to chew on the fish from the side not at the head or tail. If you think your puppy could possibly get the head or tail stuck in his/her throat I recommend getting the medium size instead.
SMALL!!! its very SMALL i can't give this to my 8 month old puppies who are about 35.lbs each because its a chocking hazard!!! really wish it said small some where on the page and its smaller than the length of a normal pen does not glow in the dark by the way and it is bacon flavored i only recommend this for dogs who are 15.
Perfect for any age! My two Yorkies absolutely love these! One is a puppy and one is 2 years old. They are perfect for teething or just something to chew rather than your shoe. Highly recommended for any type of dog.
puppy chewed off pieces My 3 month old cockapoo loved this toy. However after just 2 days of light use he chewed off both tips of the fish's tail. I can only assume he swallowed them. I just hope the pieces were small enough to pass though his system without any damage. I don't understand why toys made specifically for chewing are not made to be more durable. I would never give a child a toy that had pieces that might break off and be swallowed and now I'll surely pay more attention when choosing my puppy's toys as well.
My dogs did not like this Eight paws down on this toy. Absolutely no interest from my two dogs. The toy has a plasticy odor and is pretty hard. They love their KONGs and nothing else gets much interest.
